On Buckskin Path: What the Cyborg Found 2019. I’m living in Massachusetts, which, after California, is a living history lesson. Locals are devoted flag waving patriots and revel in their history. California is a state founded in 1849 and full of anti government rebels. Very different. Meanwhile Jeff Crouch and I continue our years long! conversation regarding future AI perception of human culture, and how it will change human life. We’ve made countless videos and works on paper and had endless conversations online about it. These Asemic drawings speculate about how AI might encounter life on another living history street near where I am living – which used to be the center of major Wampanough Indian culture 7.000 years before Europeans arrived – or longer.

Snake Creeps Down from Endgame2 2017. The group reflects on war arts glorified and embedded in human culture. Ultima Thule: Horizon, Border and Limits 2018. Space exploration and the earliest sailors’ Latin name for islands at the edge of the world, Ultima Thule, influenced these drawings. NASA’s current spaceship voyage is recording an object, nick-named Ultima Thule, in the Kuiper Belt, ‘the most primitive world,’ the farthest visit in history. Geo-political complexities, borders, and the heated race to colonize space determined my image of an imaginary sea horizon, murky silhouette, fantasized sweeping searchlight and dropped ladder. Strange Love 2017. Is there a more enigmatic species? Humans have been fascinated by them for thousands of years. They orchestrate a dance of sex and death through complex strategies of attraction, design and pattern to ensure survival. Semiotic-Pareidoliapophenia 2019. Pareidolia refers to the human tendency to perceive random things occurring in nature as significant, usually some meaning of human origin. Apophenia is the tendency to find relationships between things or events that have no connection to each other. Semiotic-Pareidoliapophenia explores metaphor and magic in abstract-asemic writing. The experience of reading meaningful signs and symbols in rock lines, paint splatters, leaf mold, skid marks, scars, cracks.
